PHASE ONE

Volunteer Alliance

Partnerships will be formed with single individual, groups, or business volunteers who have a special talent or skill, a giving heart or just time on your their hands. We will work together as a team to accomplish the mission and objectives of MHAC.

Practicum/Students Opportunities

MHAC provide exciting opportunities for college students looking for something a little different to meet service-learning or practicum requirements. Student experiences are meaningful opportunities to experience first-hand the service delivery system and issues as they relate to people with disabilities as they strive to be a part of the workforce.

PHASE TWO

MHA Habitat

MHAC works primarily with individuals with disabilities in achieving independence through competitive and supported employment, with programs funded primarily by individuals, sponsors and donor agencies. Clients get to stay at MHA Residential Hub and enjoy an environment of a safe and welcoming community. Their basic needs are met while they go through a training program that is tailored to meeting their independence for transition and integration into the larger society.

Teacher’s Resource

A strong inclusive environment serves as a bridge that spans the rough waters of intellectual disabilities enabling individuals to cross the threshold into society and continue toward productive adult lives. This program provides a blueprint to help educators, aides and volunteers build that bridge.
